Sponsored Posts and brand collaborations

Would you like me to promote your brand on LinkedIn?

I’m more than happy to help: I’m open to a collaboration and posting a sponsored post about your product or company. In fact, I did a few of them to a great success! Partners like Product Faculty, TL’DV, Kickresume and others returned for multiple sponsored posts. I will do my best to provide results worth an ongoing collaboration!

How does it work?

Once we agree to work together, I prepare a post and a promotional image with cooperation with the brand owner. I wouldn’t recommend a direct ad though, a product placement approach is much more likely to be successful. This way we can have the most eyes on your product by making the promotion seamless to make sure the post gets a lot of attention. Of course, if the partner chooses so, I am happy to make a direct advert as well.

The whole process in short:

  1. Contact me to get started
  2. We’ll agree on the post’s topic, image and content
  3. I create the content (unless it’s already provided)
  4. The content is signed off by the partner and the posting date is finalised
  5. The invoice is sent (if required). Ideally, I’d like to receive the payment before the posting date
  6. A day and a week after the posting date the number of impressions and likes is reported to the partner

What makes a successful LinkedIn Post?

Before we talk, here are some of the techniques I use to maximize post visibility and engagement:

  • A funny or provoking image, often a meme, that stops user from scrolling
  • Engaging, emotional post header that attempts to resonate with a challenge the viewer might also face
  • Post spacing to improve readability
  • A variety of “click-bait” techniques, i.e. “X ways to solve problem Y”
  • Posting at the optimal time for US viewers – between 16:30 and 17:30 CET time.
  • Using premium days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) for sponsored slots. Mondays and weekend usually get less traffic
  • Avoiding links in the post
  • Making sure the topic is wide enough to attract attention
  • Simple language with relatively short sentences
  • Focusing on addressing the user and user problem, not own brand or persona
  • Doing this consistently to make sure the audience builds positive expectations
  • Focusing on user value, not on maximizing sponsor slots -> Sponsored posts are not the reason I build my account.

FAQ

1. How long does a sponsored post take to prepare?

It takes at least a week to agree on the post details and get a sign-off from the partner and be ready to post

2. Can you guarantee I get as much engagement as in the examples above?

Sadly, no. There’s a gigantic number of factors that build a post’s success, from its topic and potential audience to the right image and specific LinkedIn algorithm conditions at any given time. That being said, I try to keep up with the conditions and put my best effort and energy into making your post successful. After all, I want you to come back for more sponsored posts!

3. What conversion can I expect

While this is an odd relation, I did notice with several tracked partner links that every 3rd “like” translated to a link click. Unfortunately, this is the benchmark I can give and it all depends on the current state of LinkedIn’s algorithm, the product itself and what type of post we’ll work on together (direct advert or product placement).

4. Can I measure the number of leads I get from the sponsored post?

If you provide me a link with a tracking number, sure! However, do note the LinkedIn penalises the use of links in the post and it will therefore get a little less visibility

5. Can you provide an invoice for the sponsored post?

Yes, I will just need your company data.

6. What forms of payment do you accept?

Direct bank transfer, PayPal, and credit card (via Stripe).

7. I have more questions!

Just contact me via email (dr.bartosz.jaworski@gmail.com) or LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/bart-jaworski/) and I’ll answer them ASAP!
